How to Measure Yourself — Step-by-Step
Measuring your bust
Measure around the fullest part of your bust, making sure the tape measure is horizontal and not too tight. Exhale normally when measuring.
Measuring your waist
Measure at the narrowest point of your torso, usually about 2–3 cm above your belly button. Keep the tape measure loose.
Measuring your hips
Measure at the widest point of your hips and buttocks, typically 18–23 cm below the waist.
Measuring foot length (shoe size)
Step on a piece of paper, trace the outline of your foot, and measure the distance from your heel to your longest toe. Use the table above for the correct EU size.
Measuring inseam (jeans)
Measure from the crotch to the bottom of the ankle along the inside of the leg.
Tips for Choosing the Right Size in Designer Fashion
- Guess: Generally true to size. Jeans run slightly small — ordering one size up is recommended if in doubt.
- Tommy Hilfiger: True to size to slightly generous. Follow the regular EU size chart.
- Calvin Klein: True to size. Jeans sometimes run slightly small at the waist.
- Armani / EA7: Italian cut — often runs one size smaller than Northern European sizes. When in doubt, order one size up.
- Lacoste: Generous fit. Polo shirts and sweaters have a classic, roomy fit.
- Versace / Pinko: Italian sizing — runs smaller. Consult the specific size chart on the product page.
